Computer-based Testing

The IIA-Japan is pleased to announce that it begin administering the Certified Internal AuditorR (CIAR) exams using computer-based testing (CBT).
We will announce the details of Certification in Control Self-AssessmentR (CCSAR), Certified Financial Services AuditorR (CFSAR), and Certified Government Auditing ProfessionalR (CGAPR) later. Please check our web site.

�A Candidates will receive the Authorization Information from IIA-Japan
�B Then candidates will reserve test center, exam date and exam language.

�C Candidates will receive confirmation letter by email.
�D Candidates will sit the CIA exam.
�E Official exam score report will be delivered to candidates.
�F Retaking Failed Exams
	If you fail any one of the CIA exams (parts) or one of the specialty exams, you must wait at least 90 days before you will be able to retake that exam (part). You can re-register for the exam to IIA-Japan after you received official result. To re-register for a failed exam and schedule a new test appointment, follow the same steps indicated above for initial registration and scheduling. The earliest appointment date that will be available to you will be 90 days from the date that you last took that exam. Please keep in mind that when you register for an exam, you must sit for that exam within 180 days of the day that your registration is processed by The IIA. If you register immediately after failing an exam, your 180-day registration/authorization period will begin immediately but you will still have to wait 90 days before your first opportunity to sit for the exam. There is no limit to the number of times a candidate can retake a failed exam.
